 The Vernon Hills Police Department produces a one-half hour cable television show called Cop Topics. The show is produced 4 times per year and each episode airs for approximately one month over the local access channel (channel 4 in Vernon Hills). Cop Topics offers a unique look at the police department. We think that you will find it to be an interesting half hour.
In addition to other miscellaneous times, the show will air every Saturday at 9:30 AM and every Sunday at 6:30 PM.
The Next Episode of Cop Topics Will Air
in the Spring of 2008.
The January/February 2008 episode included an inside look at the new “police campus,” which has been open since December 2007. The additional building currently houses a state-of-the-art telecommunications/records section, new training room, fitness area, Social Services, and bulk storage.
Also included in the episode was coverage of the Village's effort to give our service men and women a proper "Welcome Home"; a 10-minute video produced by the US Postal Service regarding ways to help reduce your likelihood of becoming a fraud victim; and a preview of several upcoming events, such as our women’s self defense class and National Night Out.
