The Drive Thru Holiday Light Show presented by the Village of Vernon Hills in cooperation with the Cuneo Museum and Gardens is held annually on the magnificent grounds of the Cuneo Museum and Gardens.  The event opens Friday November 28, 2008 and runs thru January 3rd, 2009.  
 
Hours are everyday 6-10pm. The Light Show will close on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so our staff may spend this time with their families.  The Light Show will be open for New Years Eve and New Years Day.  The cost for this event is $5 per car Monday thru Thursday and $10 per car Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 


Winter Wonderland Holiday Licence Plates - Your Season Pass to the Light Show - This is the 4th year for the special events license plates and we thank you for taking an interest in this program.  The Winter Wonderland Special Events license plate may be displayed on the vehicle starting November 3rd and must be removed by January 3, 2009.  Plates can not be transferred from one vehicle to another.   
The Secretary of States office now requires a copy of your January 2009 Illinois Vehicle Registration. The plates have NOT been ordered yet and will no longer be issued over the counter at the Village Hall.  The plates will be mailed to you directly from the Secretary of States office well before the Light Show begins.  Please complete the  Winter Wonderland Special Event License Plates Request and bring your vehilce registration and cash or check (no credit/debit cards) to the Village Hall.  The plates will be issued in consecutive order and there are only 100 sets avaiable.
 
Fund Raising Night for Lambs Farm – Visit the Holiday Light Show on the December 10-12 and a portion of your ticket will be used to support Lambs Farm.  Lambs Farm is a non-profit organization in Libertyville just 35 miles north of Chicago that empowers people with developmental disabilities to lead personally fulfilling lives through a full range of services in employment training, residential assistance and social support.  For 45 years, Lambs Farm has been assisting individuals in creating their own pathways to meaningful experiences at work, home and in the community.  For additional information on Lambs Farm, please call 847-362-4636 or visit www.lambsfarm.org

DIRECTIONS:
PLEASE NOTE:  The entrance to the light show is NOT on Milwaukee Avenue (Rt 21).

LOCAL RESIDENTS: The entrance to the light show is located north of Route 60 on Lakeview Parkway. Stay in the right lane and you will be directed by the orange cones to the entrance of the light show.

NORTH & SOUTH ON I94: Traveling north or south on I 94 exit on US Route 60 (Townline Road) and turn west off the exit ramp, towards Vernon Hills. Drive 3 miles to Lakeview Parkway (Landmark: Wendy's) and turn right (north). Stay in the right lane and you will be directed by the orange cones to the entrance of the light show.

NORTH & SOUTH ON ROUTE 45: Traveling north or south on Route 45 (Lake Street) turn east on US Route 60 (Townline Road) and drive 1.8 miles to Lakeview Parkway (Landmark: Wendy's) and turn left (north). Stay in the right lane and you will be directed by the orange cones to the entrance of the light show.

NORTH & SOUTH ON ROUTE 21: Traveling north or south on Route 21 (Milwaukee Ave) turn west on Route 60 (Townline Road) and drive 3/4 miles to Lakeview Parkway (Landmark: Wendy's) and turn right (north). Stay in the right lane and you will be directed by the orange cones to the entrance of the light show.

NORTH ON ROUTE 53: Go north on Route 53 until is merges into Lake Cook Road and exit towards the east. Travel east about 2 miles to Arlington Heights Road and turn left (North). Drive 1.5 miles to Route 83 and turn left, the road swings to the north. Drive about 8 miles to Route 60 (Townline Road) and turn right (east) and drive 1.8 miles to Lakeview Parkway (Landmark: Wendy's) and turn left (north). Stay in the right lane and you will be directed by the orange cones to the entrance of the light show.

EXITING THE LIGHT SHOW: Traffic exiting the light show is directed south on US Route 21 (Milwaukee Ave) just north of Route 60 (Townline Road). Stop by and visit Westfield Hawthorn or one of the many shopping areas in Vernon Hills and enjoy dinner at one of our many great restaurants!
