National Night Out 2008

If you were around for last year's NNO, you know the VHPD knows how to throw a party! With over 900 people in attendance, we surely had our hands full. This year, however, promises to be the biggest NNO we've ever had. We'll supply the food, beverages, and family style fun; you have the easy part ... all you have to do is show up!

This year's NNO will be at the same place as the past four years: Hartmann Park (Oakwood/Cherry Valley Roads). At the request of many people from years past, we've expanded the time of the party - this year it will run from 4 PM - 8 PM.

Here's a run-down of what we have lined up for you (Important Note: We are still in the process of putting this all together, so this page will be updated as new events are nailed down - so check back soon for more details!):

• An Inflatable Playground (for all ages) – set up compliments of Record-A-Hit (If you came to the Oktoberfest, you know what kind of fun stuff they have!)
• Live Entertainment:
  • Live DJ provided by A-Z Entertainment,
  • Balloon Artist from 5 PM - 7 PM
• Sand Volleyball Tournament
• Children's Games
• BBQ Food & Drinks
• PLUS:
  • Self-Defense Lesson (6 PM)
  • Pie Eating Contest (7 PM) - open to the first 10 people to sign up!
  • Dunk-A-Cop - pony up a buck and get your chance to see if cops float or sink! All proceeds raised will directly benefit the Jesse Goldsmith Scholarship Fund.

Hey, hold the fort! Did we mention this entire evening is COMPLETELY FREE to anyone who comes out? That's right, thanks to the generosity of the below sponsors, you won't be paying a penny for anything at the NNO Celebration!
