County Program Offers New Hire Support

LakeCountyWorkforce

Lake County Workforce Development has launched a new program to support small businesses impacted by the pandemic. Your small business may qualify to have Lake County Workforce Development sponsor a qualified individual for a paid work experience of up to 6 months or 1,000 hours. This ARPA-funded program also supports workers interested in upgrading skills or moving into new jobs.

Through this new ARPA program and others, Lake County Workforce Development offers a variety of resources to support both businesses and those looking for meaningful employment. The agency offers employers job posting assistance, as well as customized recruitment, prescreening and referrals of skilled Lake County residents. Potential employees can tap into career planning, job search and training opportunities.
