Perscribed Burn At Harvey Lake

“The Village's contractor, Bluestem Ecological Services, will be conducting a prescribed burn at Harvey Lake, December 12th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, weather permitting. The prescribed burn is necessary to control invasive plant species on the property. Please contact the Public Works Dept. at 847-367-3726 should you have any questions or concerns.”

Vernon Township Outreach

Vernon Township offers several programs throughout the year to lend a hand. Sponsor-A-Family programs include Thanksgiving dinners (November), holiday gifts (December), and school supplies (July). If you wish to help with a sponsorship, or if you are in need, please contact Township Caseworker Nancy Urice at 847-634-4600 or Nancy@vernontownship.com. The Vernon Township Food Pantry has also published their Fall Wish List – which includes items such as mac & cheese, boxed potatoes, soups and more.
