Spring Choir Concert

The Spring VHHS Choir Concert is on Tuesday, March 20 at 7:30 pm in the VHHS Auditorium. This work will feature a song composed by the last Princess of Hawaii (Ka'iulani) with slack-key guitar, a Newfoundland sea chantey, a traditional song of the Maori (indigenous people of New Zealand), and an excellent arrangement of the American classic, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." New this year, the Concert Choir will divide into smaller groups and sing their selections from Solo & Ensemble Festival as well.

VHHS Jazz Concert with Hawthorn Middle Schools

Wednesday, March 7at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $2 students / $3 adults at the door
 
The VHHS Jazz Concert is on Wednesday, March 7 at 7:00 PM in the Vernon Hills High School Auditorium. The concert will include both the Middle School North (Pat Cantagallo) and Middle School South (Chuck Naffier) jazz bands along with the VHHS Jazz Lab Band and Jazz Ensemble. The middle school bands will kick off the concert followed by the high school jazz bands. The finale will have all four bands playing together. The concert will feature standard jazz swing, fusion, and contemporary jazz charts.
