March 17: Women’s conference stresses empowerment, healthy living
Defining your own success, and practical topics such as healthy eating and financial planning, are part of the sixth annual “Empowering the Woman in You: Shattering the Glass Ceiling,” a free symposium from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at the College of Lake County. Summer Explore Camps offer hands-on learning for K-12 youth
Registration is open for the College of Lake County’s Explore Summer Camps, which offer youth in grades 1-12 weeklong courses during June and July, in topics from cooking to NASA astronomy. Locations are the Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St. and the Southlake Campus at 1120 S. Milwaukee Ave. in Vernon Hills. Choose between mornings, afternoons or both. CLC student helps design Mars rover model at NASA workshop
