April 6 to May 5: CLC’s 37^th Annual Student Art Competition exhibit
A huge variety of artwork created by College of Lake County students will be on display April 6 through May 5 at the Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art on the Grayslake Campus. The 37^th Annual CLC Student Art Competition is a juried exhibit featuring painting, drawing, computer graphics, photography, ceramics, jewelry, digital media and sculpture. CLC named Bee Campus USA for conservation, educational efforts
The College of Lake County was recently named an affiliate of Bee Campus USA, a distinction granted by Bee City USA, an Asheville, N.C.-based nonprofit that involves cities and college campuses in promoting bee conservation and the role of pollinators in maintaining food supplies. Recycle O Rama

Recycle-O-Rama is Saturday, May 19 from 9 am-1 pm at the Hawthorn Mall in the Sears parking lot.
The Park District is partnering with the Village of Vernon Hills, Vernon Township, State Representative Carol Sente, SWALCO, and Hawthorn Mall on this event. There is a limit of two boxes of paper shredding per vehicle. Latex paint costs $3/gallon and payment can be cash or credit. There will be no chemical waste recycling at this event. Items to be collected: CRT monitors, laptops, CD/DVD players, cell phones, televisions, printers, computer towers, and small appliances.
