Come and join us for a fabulous evening of voices of Vernon Hills High School

The VHHS Choirs present our annual, end-of-the-year pops concert, Cabaret, on Thursday, May 3rd at 7:30 p.m. in the VHHS Auditorium. This year, our theme is a perennial favorite, Disney! All five choirs, plus individual solo and group acts will perform songs from Disney and Pixar hits such as Mulan, Enchanted, Hercules, Lion King, Toy Story, Pocahontas, Cinderella, Newsies, The Little Mermaid, and High School Musical. Come enjoy singing, dancing, and all those memorable, catchy songs from your favorite childhood movies! 
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $3/$2.


Orchesis Dance Company Presents:Empowered

Thursday and Friday, April 26th and 27th, at 7:00 p.m.

This season, the 51 members of the VHHS Orchesis Dance Company will present Empowered. The concert includes 23 student-choreographed dance pieces, as well as a beautiful work by the guest artist, Ms. Laura Moschel. The concert also includes a first-ever interdisciplinary piece where students have worked in collaboration with Ms. Karen Day and Ms. Erin Jaffe to create a piece that unites dance movement with principles currently included in the VHHS Human Physiology classes. Videography for this piece is created by student Sami Waitley.

Sign Up for Blackboard Connect Emergency 911 Call System

The Village of Vernon Hills uses a number our resources to keep people informed. Blackboard Connect is the Village’s reverse 911 emergency phone system used to notify people of extremely time-bound or urgent information — for instance an emergency road closure or a neighborhood utility problem.
Published telephone landlines are automatically included in the Blackboard Connect database. However if you do not have a published landline, your are urged to enroll any appropriate cellphone numbers for your household. Sign up by going to the Blackboard Connect webpage ( and creating an account using your email address. A physical address is also required, which allows messages to be routed to specific neighborhoods.

Spring VHHS Band Concert

The Spring VHHS Band Concert is on Tuesday, May 1 at 7:30 pm in the VHHS Auditorium. The program will include the Concert Band performing a medley of Disney songs, 14 in all. Will you be able to guess the movies and the songs? The Symphonic Band performing the ever popular "Godzilla Eats Las Vegas!" by Eric Whitacre. The Wind Ensemble will be performing their Superstate piece, "Dance Movements" by Philip Sparke.
The program's featured performance will be a senior solo by Nikki Medanovic playing "Piccolo in C Major" by Antonio Vivaldi.
Tickets are $3 for adults, $2 for students/senior citizens and available at the door.
