Arbortheater Concert - TONIGHT    "Soda"

The Arbortheater is located at 50 S. Fairway Drive, just north of the Vernon Hills Athletic Complex (VHAC). Concerts are held on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m.. In case of rain the concerts will relocate at the Sullivan Center at 635 North Aspen Drive.

Concerts are open to the public and everyone is invited. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs, and picnic basket and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

During the concerts the main parking lot is blocked off for handicap and seniors. Concert parking is in the Rogers Executive Park II parking lot adjacent to the Arbortheater. The Arbortheater can also be accessed on the bike path through Deerpath Park just north of the Castle.

Soda is the Ultimate Human Jukebox! Plenty of good old-fashioned classic rock on hand will have everyone’s feet tappin’, and plenty more of todays “pop” hits will have the younger members of the audience jump out of their seats to sing and dance and “Jam” with the band.

road construction

Route 21/60 Road Construction

The Route 60/21 intersection improvements are nearing completion.  The underground utilities and additional lanes have been completed. Last weekend the roadway was milled and is ready for the installation of the asphalt leveling binder and final surface.  Loop detectors, pavement markings and conversion to the new permanent traffic signals will occur soon after this work is complete.

Although this project is ahead of the projected schedule, it has been difficult on drivers and we anticipate that the project will be substantially completed by August 20, 2018.  The additional turning and thru lanes are a major improvement to this extremely important IDOT intersection and will improve the level of service for years to come.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding as the project is completed.
