Maintenance at the Metra Station

Metra will be removing the existing platform pavers and replacing them with a stamped asphalt surface. They will start on August 15^th and hope to complete the work on or before Labor Day.  Their operations will require a work zone of approximately 20 parking spaces near the station.  Thank you for your cooperation as these improvements are made.

Sign Up for Blackboard Connect Emergency 911 Call System

The Village of Vernon Hills uses a number our resources to keep people informed. Blackboard Connect is the Village’s reverse 911 emergency phone system used to notify people of extremely time-bound or urgent information — for instance an emergency road closure or a neighborhood utility problem.
 
Published telephone landlines are automatically included in the Blackboard Connect database. However if you do not have a published landline, your are urged to enroll any appropriate cellphone numbers for your household. Sign up by going to the Blackboard Connect webpage (https://vernonhills.bbcportal.com/Entry) and creating an account using your email address. A physical address is also required, which allows messages to be routed to specific neighborhoods.

Mesothelioma 5K Race Event

Vogelzang Law presents the first annual Mesothelioma 5K Race for Justice on September 22nd, 2018 at the Lake County Forest Preserve Half Day in Vernon Hills, IL. Activities begin at 7:30 a.m., the race starts at 9:00 a.m.This year’s race will be held in tribute to National Mesothelioma Awareness Day. Proceeds from the 2018 race will benefit the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation. Everyone who registers will receive a race day shirt at packet pick-up and a medal at the finish line. JOIN US!
