Dec. 3-4: Shop at the college's Holiday Gift and Craft Fair
The College of Lake County is hosting its third annual Holiday Gift and Craft Fair, Monday, Dec. 3 and Tuesday, Dec. 4 at the Grayslake Campus. Fair hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and vendors will sell items such as artisan soaps, holiday treats, jewelry, candles, origami, gourmet food, beauty products, scarves and much more. College Police Department invites public comment during state accreditation visit
A team from the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ILEAP) will visit the College of Lake County Nov. 26 and 27 to determine if the CLC Police Department qualifies for ILEAP’s top-level accreditation. If granted, CLC’s department would be the first community college police in Illinois to receive ILEAP accreditation. For details, visit

Staff members Connie Kravitz, Dr. Sharon Sanders-Funnye receive awards
Two College of Lake County employees recently received awards from professional organizations. Connie Kravitz, CPA, controller in the college’s finance department, has received the Darrell E. Roberts Emerging Professional Award from the Virginia-based Community College Budget Officers, a professional organization. She also received a Leadership Academy Scholarship through the Illinois Community College Chief Financial Officers. Additionally, Sharon Sanders-Funnye, Ed.D., director of CLC’s Educational Talent Search Scholars program, has received the Award of Excellence from the Florida After School Alliance for her volunteerism in Lake County.
