Please help those in need by donating non-perishable food products, household and personal items to the Vernon/Libertyville Township Food Pantry

If your organization would like to have a food drive and need a way to transport the collection items to the Township, please call Lisa at 847-918-3562 and we will arrange a pick up.

Vernon Hills American Legion Post 1247 will be hosting BINGO at the Vernon Hills Golf Course, 291 Evergreen Drive on the first Thursday of the month. The next event will be Thursday March 7 beginning at 6:30PM.  Proceeds go to support programs sponsored by the Post, such as the Wounded Warrior Project among others. A cash bar along with food is available from the Vernon Hills Golf Course Grill.

Scouting for Food

February 7th and 8th at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $2 students $3 Adults available at the door only
 We are fortunate to have a warm meal every night — And we know that not everyone is so lucky.
That’s the genesis of Scouting for Food, the annual food-collection drive run by your local Scouts each March, when our food pantry is at its lowest. It’s another reminder to our local communities that Scouts are here, doing good turns.
Scouting for Food takes place on two consecutive weekends. On the first weekend, March 2nd, Scouts distribute bags and/or door hangers to let their neighbors know about the drive. On the second, March 9th, Scouts revisit those houses to pick up bags full of canned food, cereal, pasta, peanut butter, juice and other nonperishable items.  The food will be delivered to the Vernon Township Food pantry to distribute to needy families all throughout the area.
