Please help those in need by donating non-perishable food products, household and personal items to the Vernon/Libertyville Township Food Pantry

If your organization would like to have a food drive and need a way to transport the collection items to the Township, please call Lisa at 847-918-3562 and we will arrange a pick up. 

Countryside Fire Open House & Pancake Breakfast this Sunday, October 6 from 8am-NOON.  $15 all you can eat per family or $5 per person.  Great pancakes and sausage, fruit, coffee and juice.  Come meet all the firefighters and check out their equipment.  Fun for all!


Zoning Board of Appeals Vacancy Announcement

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) consists of seven members. Members are appointed by the Village President and confirmed by the Board of Trustees. Terms are five years.

The ZBA is scheduled to meet at 7:00PM on the third Thursday of every month if petitions of variances are pending. Generally, the ZBA meets five to seven times annually.

The powers and duties of the ZBA are specified in the Vernon Hills Zoning Ordinance and Illinois State Statues. The ZBA holds public hearings and makes recommendations to the Village Board on decisions and determinations made by Building Commissioner (Zoning Administrator) in the interpretation and enforcement of the Village Zoning, Development and Sign Ordinances.

Residents wishing to serve on the Zoning Board of Appeals are encouraged to send a letter of interest that outlines their qualifications to the attention of:

Countryside Fire District entered the Underwriter Laboratories Close Before You Doze Video Contest.

There is a great chance they can win this, with your help.
The contest ends in September 15th.  It comes down to the video with the most votes! You can only vote once.

CLC announces L.A. Williams Endowed Promise Scholarship
           The College of Lake County Foundation is pleased to announce that it has received a generous gift of $30,000 from Wilverlyn “Joye” Williams, a CLC graduate and U.S. Navy veteran.
