Tree Trimming

The Village maintains 10,000-plus parkway trees. Each year in late Winter the Village contracts tree trimming services to be performed on approximately 1/5 of the Village's parkway trees based on a five-year rotation; or as needed. Trees included in the tree trimming program tend to have low-lying branches that extend over the public walkway and/or into the street; while others require thinning, and/or balancing to ensure proper growth and stability.

Residents of the Village who would like their parkway tree trimmed due to long, over-grown, or low-lying branches, should utilize the Service Request System. Public Works does not trim trees located on private property.
