Candidates wishing to be included on the April 1, 2025 election ballots may begin filing petition packets on November 12. The last day to file nomination petitions is November 18.

The April 1 election includes many local positions, including Vernon Hills Village President (1 position of 4 years), and Village Trustee (3 poisition of 4 years.
